About King's Equine

King's Equine is a world-class thoroughbred training center in Ocala, Florida. For over 40 years, Martha and Raul Reyes have been involved with thoroughbred racing. At their training center, one goal is paramount, to break and train winning thoroughbreds. With over 500 graduate winners at racetracks throughout the world, the only thing as important as the development of the horses is the human relationships they build along the way.

Raul got his start at the Agua Caliente barns in Mexico. At 16, he moved to California to become a jockey at Los Alamitos. He later worked as an exercise rider for training greats like Charlie Whittingham and D. Wayne Lukas. As co-owner of King’s Equine, Raul works individually with every horse in training to ensure they have the ability and confidence it takes to begin a successful career when it leaves King’s Equine to compete on the track.

Martha was born in Mexico and grew up in San Diego, California. As a co-owner of King's Equine, she manages the business aspects of the farm and the 100 to 120 horses that reside on it. Her greatest satisfaction comes from seeing one of the farm's graduates go on to achieve success for their connections.

Today, Martha and Raul are blessed to contribute a part to this wonderful industry. So, if you have a yearling you're looking to break or pinhook, have two-year-olds in need of consignment, or have other racing needs, look no further than King’s Equine. None of their success would be possible without their wonderful clients.
